BT Capital Partners was founded by Gerald Van Der Boon and Walter Treur to serve as trusted partners to both fund managers and investors across Europe. We have over 4 decades of combined experience in the distribution of investment funds and the structuring of bespoke investment solutions.
Our business is built on trust, transparency, and long-term collaboration. We maintain a constant dialogue between the asset manager and the investor base, which is key to growing both our clients’ businesses. We understand the dynamics required to build a brand, launch new strategies, and create network effects. Everything we do, we do for and in close cooperation with our clients.

Gerald van der Boon

Gerald has 25 years of experience in the Dutch financial services industry and investment banking. He started his career at Rabobank Private Banking followed by Friesland Bank and Trustus Capital Management, an Emerging and Frontier Markets specialist. Gerald is a director at Gold Grain Capital. Throughout his career, Gerald worked closely with many independent wealth managers, institutional investors, and private banks in the Benelux and Nordics. Gerald is fluent in Dutch, English, and Frisian (Fries).
Walter Treur

Walter has over a decade of experience within the financial services industry, having worked closely with independent wealth managers, fund managers and private banks in the Benelux and Switzerland. Walter's expertise spans across all asset classes. He started his career at Commerzbank London followed by Leonteq Securities in London and Amsterdam and was responsible for the European distribution at Fortem Capital. He is currently at Gold Grain Capital BV in Amsterdam. Walter is fluent in Dutch, English and French.
Mattia Pastrolin
Mattia has over a decade of experience in asset management, business development, and institutional sales with a focus on the Southern European regions and impact investors globally.
Throughout his career he led the development of asset managers predominantly in Italy and Ticino, and he is a partner of an impact carbon removal fund.
Marco J. Eman
Marco is an expert in structuring and sales of securities who began his career in Sales and Trading in 2010. In more than a decade of experience he worked for UBS Bank, Commerzbank AG and a Tier-1 Family Office, refining his capabilities in performing derivative pricing models and building an extensive network of relations in the industry.
Marco is founder-owner of Gold Grain Captital and supervises all the front-office activities at group in the UK, Italy and Middle East. Marco holds a MSc in Investment Management at Cass Business School.
Alexander Vermeulen
Alexander is currently an analyst at BT Capital Partners, where he supports fund research and contributes to investor platform development. Alongside his role, Alexander is a member of a student run investment fund, actively managing a portfolio in a national investment competition, and serves as a lecturer for portfolio management for a student association at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Alexander is fluent in Dutch and English.
